The Carmelite Monastery of Nakhon Sawan traces its origins to an invitation extended on 1 April 1999 by Bishop Louis Chamniern Santisuknirand, then Bishop of the Diocese of Nakhon Sawan, who desired a community of Discalced Carmelite nuns to support the missionary work of the diocese through a life of contemplative prayer, penance, and reparation. On 30 June 1999, Mother Angela of the Child Jesus, Prioress of the Carmelite Monastery in Bangkok, visited the proposed site and selected a ten-rai (approximately four-acre) plot of diocesan land for the new foundation.

The first foundation pillar was blessed on 22 January 2000, marking the beginning of construction. On 12 October 2000, Mother Angela and eight nuns departed from Bangkok to establish the new community. As the monastery was still under construction, Bishop Louis Chamniern welcomed the sisters to reside temporarily at the Bishop's House, with permission granted by the Holy See for them to remain outside the cloister until the monastery was ready.

The nuns moved into the completed residential quarters on 2 December 2000, while construction continued on the remaining buildings. The monastery was solemnly blessed and officially inaugurated on 23 June 2001 by Cardinal Michael Michai Kitbunchu. On 27 September 2025, the community joyfully celebrated the 25th anniversary of its foundation, giving thanks to God for a quarter century of contemplative witness in the Diocese of Nakhon Sawan.
